Non- Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy.

Spinal decompression is an Alternative to Surgery and medications for people with chronic and severe back pain who don't know where to go or who to trust.

Orlando SpinalAid Centers offers the latest cutting edge technology in the non-surgical treatment of serious chronic lower back pain and sciatica.

Our commitment to offering the highest quality of care resulted in the addition of the FDA Cleared DRX9000 spinal decompression technology for the treatment of back pain due to:

Sciatica
Herniated and/or bulging discs
Degenerative disc disease
A relapse or failure following surgery Spinal Stenosis

Recent advances in biotechnology, focusing on spinal decompression, have evolved into effective non-surgical treatment for herniated and degenerative spinal disc disease major causes of spinal pain. Injured discs can be treated by non-surgically decompressing the affected spinal segment, which significantly reduces intradiscal pressures, thereby permitting healing and recovery.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical outcomes of spinal decompression therapy for patients suffering from low back pain caused by herniated and degenerative disc disease.

According to the National Institutes of Health, low back pain (LBP) is one of the most significant health problems facing Americans, with an estimated 85% of us having back pain at some time in our lives. Back pain is one of the primary reasons for missing work. It's also the second most common reason for doctor visits behind only upper-respiratory infections (e.g.,colds, bronchitis).

DRX 9000 has been shown to be highly capable of relieving the compression on the spinal nerves caused by disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and posterior facet syndrome.

The real key to this treatment however, is that the distraction forces are applied using a logarithmic approach to avoid the typical muscle-proprioceptor response (spasm) associated with traditional traction. Since more force is directed to the joint rather than the muscles, a significant negative pressure results, expanding the space between adjacent vertebra and enhancing fluid diffusion to the discs. Restoring nutrients and blood flow to the disc encourages the healing process. In the case of a herniation, the negative pressure may be sufficient enough to help the leaking nucleus retreat back into its intended home, while the annulus can seal its tear. Patients typically undergo a series of 18 to 30 treatment sessions, each session lasting 35-40 minutes. The patient is tipically seen daily for the first two weeks of treatment, then three times a week as needed.
